Parade Guidelines

Date of Parade: June 20, 2026 - Line Up: Sam Houston High School

Route: Sam Houston Hight School – down W. W. White – to Comanche Park #2

   We ask that you be at the line up point at your assigned time slot (time slot will be given at meeting on May 29, 2026 @ 6:30 pm) – if you are running late, please notify Marsha @ 210-842-7943 or Bruce Lane @ 210-833-5472

   Decorate your entry with a Sign representing your Organization/Company and Juneteenth (colors:  green, red, black, yellow)

   At Meeting more information will be given out on City Requirements

   No profane language/attire during the line-up, parade, and formal opening

   No alcoholic beverages during line-up, parade, and formal opening

   No throwing of any items from any of the participants into the crowd of viewers – you can hand items out

   Absolutely NO STANDING on moving vehicles, except for Floats w/proper stands

   We ask that your Vehicles be clean and environmentally safe

   All parade entries must be in formation/line-up no later than 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning on June 20, 2026

   No limit to entries (but ask that group come together)

   Please bring water to stay hydrated for you & your group

   Parade will line up according to your assigned numbers

   Speed limit will be 10 miles

   People with horses will need to bring their own pooper scooper or a bag under the horses for their poop

   The number you will be given when you enter the check point at Sam Houston.  Once you receive your number it should be placed in the window of your vehicle on driver side, if you’re driving; if you’re walking, riding a horse, pulling a float or boat we ask that you make it visible for the announcer.

   Meeting will be on May 29, 2026 (Friday) @ 6:30 pm @ The Abundant Life Christian Church --5006 Lord Road, San Antonio Tx. 

This is a Family Event, please bring your children to participate, enjoy and learn
